Our Story
We first officially met at a small group event hosted at a mutual friend’s house. Tia was sitting alone waiting for her friends to arrive when Ephraim walked through the door. He worked his way around the room, introducing himself to everyone, and stopped next to Tia in an attempt to spark conversation with the pretty face he remembered seeing before at church. However, the conversation didn’t last very long, as Tia isn’t very good at small talk. As the event was wrapping up, Tia made her way towards her car, only to see Ephraim was heading in the same direction as they had unknowingly parked right next to one another (coincidence or no?). Another conversation was sparked before they went their separate ways. In the weeks following, they saw each other at church but didn’t really make any moves towards each other, until one day Ephraim made the bold move to follow Tia on Instagram. Tia posted a video of herself in the gym and Ephraim commented. Ephraim then posted a video of himself in the gym and, of course, Tia had to comment! After several likes and comments on each other’s stories, they finally set up their first date to…the gym! Yep, Tia and Ephraim’s first official few dates were gym dates, where Tia showed Ephraim up on deadlifts! After many gym dates, followed by shared post-workout meals, Tia and Ephraim decided to make it official and began dating in July 2019.
